James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
Proverbs 25:25
Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.

After a very long wait and wondering if we would ever receive our referral, we got the call.  What a wonderful day it was.  After we hung up with our family coordinator, Brian came home so we could look at his picture together and go through all of his information.  He is perfect, beautiful, healthy and so smiley.  I just love him.  After we were done going through everything, we headed over to the kids school, video camera in hand, to tell them all about their brother.  When we arrived, we asked the front office to page both of them to the office.  When they saw us, we asked them why we were there and they looked very confused.  After pondering it for a bit, Jenna guessed that we got our referral.  Yay!!!!!  It was so fun to see how happy they were and watch their delight when they got to see their baby brothers pictures for the 1st time.  They have been so patient and now was their time to gloat.  They both said they wanted to show their teachers and friends so we went with them to make the announcements.  Lots of joy was shared.  Since the referral, I have been on cloud 9.  I love being able to know where Jacoby is and be able to stare at his smiling face as ofter as I'd like.  The Rowell family was kind enough to take many pictures of him when they were in Ethiopia, we have sent him a care package, and I had the most wonderful baby shower.  Lately I have been nesting quite a bit and keeping up with all of the paperwork that comes our way. Today I opened up my email and was pleasantly surprised to see an email from our travel coordinator saying that the birth parent/ MOWCYA court date is for Jan.11.  What this means for us is that this will be the date MOWCYA is supposed to have our family's letter to court, either favorable or unfavorable.  If the letter is there and is favorable then the court will set a day for us to appear before the judge stating our intent to adopt Jacoby.  If the letter is unfavorable for any reason, we would most likely need to send them additional documents. Lastly, if the letter is not there, we would have to wait until it is there and favorable before the court will issue us a date to appear.  Our travel coordinator thinks our court date will be approximately 2 weeks after the court has MOWCYA's favorable letter for our case.  YAY!!!! This is really happening and our family couldn't be happier.  I will post more after Jan.11's date to state where we lie in the process.  Prayers are most appreciated. Thank You.
